Weddings are about the large events like a couple’s first kiss and the smaller things that sometimes the guests never even know occur. As the wedding photographer, I love capturing the small details that really make a day unique.

My job becomes about photographing the hanger of a bride’s dress as she anxiously wait to put the gown on.

People always tell you that your high school graduation day is the last time you will probably see some of the people you spent 12 years studying with.

However, photography has provided me the opportunity to get back into some of my classmates’ lives.

Meet Michael and Cristin Forsythe. They had a beautiful, intimate elopement on the beach over the summer. As a way to celebrate their union with family and friends, they threw a reception that I had the opportunity to be a part of.

A fall is upon up with winter just around the corner (as much of a winter as California gets). With the seasons changing come those nostalgic memories of summer.

When I think back to summer I cannot help but remember this session I did with my fiancé's little sister at their home in Tennessee. Everything about this session embodied a Southern summer to me from her sundresses, pony tail and boots to the mosquitoes hanging in the air as the sun began to set.

Undeniable

One of the reasons I fell in love with photography is that I get to photograph just that — love.

So it goes without saying that I was more than a little excited when I had the opportunity to photograph one of my dearest friend’s engagement session.

It also helped that they are undeniably and utterly in love.

I’m not physic or anything but when a couple like this gets in front of my camera I can tell it’s the real deal.

Someone should go ahead and call Nicholas Sparks.

Every couple I’ve worked with has had an amazing love story, though. Not one has failed to impress me.
